Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-08

Meuwoo is operated by Pixdyne (ABN 96 690 116 584). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Meuwoo breeder app and the public pages at meuwoo.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Who this applies to

Meuwoo has two kinds of users: "breeders", who hold an account and run their cattery in the app (including their team members), and "buyers" (called "parents" after paying), who browse, apply or send enquiries on the web without an account.

Information a buyer sends to a cattery is there so that cattery can reply and complete the sale. We store and deliver that information; how a cattery uses it outside Meuwoo (for example, contacting you directly) is that cattery’s responsibility.

2. Information we collect

Breeder accounts:

  • Sign-in email and password (the password is stored hashed by our sign-in service; we never see it in plain text)
  • Display name, app language and notification preferences
  • Invitation emails and roles of team members

Cattery information entered by breeders:

  • Cattery name, city and country, bio, social accounts, certifications and registration numbers
  • Kitten and breeding-cat profiles, photos and short videos, vaccination and vet records, original pedigree certificates and vet reports
  • Ledger entries (amount, category, counterparty), customer and booking records, and waitlists

Information submitted by buyers:

  • Reservation applications: name, contact (email or phone), city, cat experience, home situation, timing, handover preference and notes
  • Enquiries: name, contact, city and message
  • Parent page: home address, other pets, cat experience, pickup time and method, whether the cat will be indoor-only, messages, and when you last opened the page

Subscriptions: paid plans are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we never see your card details. We receive subscription status and transaction events from RevenueCat (an internal account ID, product, time, price and currency).

Generated automatically: a view count on kitten pages (just a number, not linked to anyone) and your browser language (used only to pick the display language, not stored). Our own database does not record your IP address or device identifiers; our infrastructure providers may briefly process IP addresses in their logs for security and operations.

3. Information we do not collect

The app does not access your location, contacts or camera. It only reads a photo or file when you choose it. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, do not track you across sites, and never sell or rent personal information.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the service: managing kittens, bookings, the ledger and the team
  • To deliver buyers’ applications, enquiries and messages to the right cattery and notify it
  • To show the information a breeder chooses to publish on public pages
  • To process subscriptions and turn paid features on or off accordingly
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems
  • To meet legal obligations

We do not use your information for marketing (unless you separately agree), and we do not make automated decisions about you that have significant effects.

5. What is public

Information and photos on cattery and kitten pages can be seen by anyone with the link; photos are kept in publicly accessible storage. Kittens’ weights and daily logs, original certificates and vet reports, the ledger and buyers’ contact details are never public.

Enquiry threads and parent pages are opened with a randomly generated link and need no sign-in — anyone holding the link can see them, so please do not forward it.

6. Who we share information with

  • The cattery you contact, and its team members according to their roles
  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage. Our production data is stored in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1)
  • RevenueCat (United States): subscription management. We give it only an internal account ID — never your email or name
  • Apple and Google: app distribution and in-app payments
  • Expo: building and distributing app updates
  • Our website hosting and content delivery providers
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where the law requires it

7. Overseas disclosure

Your information is stored in or transferred outside Australia — mainly to Singapore and the United States, and possibly other countries where the providers above operate. We only use providers bound by contract to protect data, and take reasonable steps under APP 8 to ensure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. What is stored on your device

App: your sign-in credentials are kept in the system Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android), never in plain text on the phone.

Web: after you send an enquiry from a kitten page, an access token for that thread is kept in your browser’s localStorage so you can come back for the reply; clearing your browser data removes it. The website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, only essential session cookies where a sign-in needs to be kept.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. The database isolates each cattery at row level, so one cattery cannot see another’s data. Original certificates and vet reports are kept in private storage, and each view issues a fresh link that expires after 10 minutes.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. How long we keep information

We keep account and cattery information while the breeder account exists. You can delete your account under "Account & security" in the app: the account, the catteries it owns and everything in them (kittens, photos and files, bookings, enquiries, the ledger, waitlists and parent pages) are deleted together. If the cattery still has other team members or unfinished bookings, these must be resolved first — that data affects other people too.

The exception is billing records: after deletion they are detached from the cattery but kept for tax, accounting and dispute purposes for as long as the law requires (generally five years for Australian tax records).

Buyer information is kept until the cattery deletes the related records or the cattery account is deleted. Buyers who want it removed sooner can ask the cattery directly or contact us, and we will coordinate.

11. Your rights

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. Breeders can edit it directly in the app; buyers can ask the cattery or write to us. We will reply within 30 days, and if the law prevents us from providing something, we will explain why.

Buyers may use a nickname instead of their real name, but need to leave one way of being contacted so the cattery can reply.

12. Children

Meuwoo is intended for people aged 18 and over. Breeder accounts can only be created by adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle personal information, please write to info@pixdyne.com first; we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

14. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we also update the effective date at the top. We will tell breeders about material changes before they take effect, through an in-app notice or by email.

This policy is available in Chinese and English. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
